Mmmm... Hot Lips & Apricot Ice

OK, so I whipped up another Sophie Bag - this time adding a flap on the front with a buttonhole - just what kind of button should I use? Guess I'm in for a trip to Windsor Button after work next week...

This was made with the Wonderful Wool Hot Lips & Apricot Ice that I picked up at the Mind's Eye Yarn sale last week - ran back in for more on Saturday and now I have plenty of "extras" for some other fun projects.

Yes, I was so scared - just how will those picked up stiches work? Not sure... and then... this is what I got when I pulled it out of the washing machine:

The interesting thing was that the Apricot still showed the stiches and the Hot Lips (great name, huh?) was nice and felty... after much consultation at work, I'm going to keep it that way. YEAH! A fun summer bag that will go with so much more than the cute red & yellow one...

Next project? I think I'll try a few felted boxes since I have plenty of wool left...
