And now, some WIPs...

First, let's start out with some new handspun - www.spunkyeclectic.com - yum! This was another one of the rovings that I picked up at SPA:

Chocolate Cherries - ~150 yards 2 ply, fluffy goodness, still thinking about what to do with it (recommendations are welcome!):

Next, Lucy at www.mindseyeyarns.com seemed to have so much fun dying this sock yarn for her club... and it's just striping up beautifully, however, I will probably rip it and start over w/ another (ie. more than just stockenette) pattern:

And from A Yarn Over Marblehead - I love this colorway - totally different:

And finally, I am working on something other than socks - I have about 13" done on the back of my Perfect Sweater - yum, Skye Tweed looks just so cool!

And I'll leave you with what has been keeping us busy lately (and yes, I do kick butt in this game!) You gotta love ebay...

My Current Favorite WIP

My hostess for SP10 has challenged us to put up our favorite WIP - and here it is:

This the the completed cuff of my first "Karen's Sugar-Free Diabetes Walk Socks." (see my last post for the link) And I think that I have been bitten by the cable bug.

And I'll admit it, these are for ME! Queensland Collection Llama Seta 80% Alpaca/20% Silk. They just feel yummy!

More later, I'm being surrounded by kitties saying, "feed me!"

What, no pics again?

Sorry, but I don't have my pictures with me... but I do have a link to the very cool new socks that I am knitting. I really needed something that was not all stockinette...

Very cool - and I am doing them in a super-soft Queensland Llama Seta - 20% Silk, 80% Alpaca - that happened to be 40% off at A Yarn Over Marblehead yesterday. It was the perfect choice for my first cable pattern. I can't wait to keep going on it again tonight at our SnB (maybe I'll sneak a little in at lunch too.)

I will say, that if you have to take a sick day or two that also lead into a big snowstorm, it's great to have your friend's Veronica Mars Season One available for viewing... it just about got me through the weekend! I did, however, also get some spinning done - I spun up the Chocolate Cherries from www.spunkyeclectic.com that I bought at SPA. I love Amy's colors - they are really fun. Now I just have to figure out what to do with it - it's about 150 yards of double-plyed yumminess. Pics to come later, I promise!

So just where does the time go?

I'm really not sure. Can it be weeks since my last post? Well, since then I have finally finished my Marblehead Handdyed Algae socks (pictures forthcoming - OK, so I have to wash them first, I couldn't stop wearing them!) and finally cast on my sweater Saturday. I think I'm about 8 inches up the back - again, pictures will be forthcoming.

Tonight will be a quick trip to the vet to get Oliver another shot for his asthma - unfortunately, they couldn't do it on Saturday because the vet was just flying back from getting married in Korea. OK, I'll give her that one! Then it'll be off to our little SnB group - I love my Monday nights...
