Happy Birthday Patty!

Well, it's finished - here is Patty's birthday present, just needs to be wrapped up. Hope she likes it. Yes, the Pocket Fuzz is from her bro - too cute!

And, of course, my "Jealousy Booga Bag" is finished too - thanks to Laurie who did the surgery to it to put the handles through! Next time I promise to have the guts to do it myself!!!

Another little project I'm working on is the http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring06/PATTttwist.html with hand dyed cotton from Lucy at www.mindseyeyarns.com - my hope is to finish it before the end of the summer (which, luckily in New England isn't until the end of September or so!)

Lastly, for today at least... a few little felted boxes that I did (while avoiding the sweater...) everyone with 4 kitties need a place to put their grooming tools!

That's all for now - time to go deliver the gift and then work on... hmmm... not sure yet!

Thank you, my wonderful A/C!

Ah, what would we do without A/C? In the car, so you don't look a mess by the time you get to where you are going, in the bedroom so you can actually sleep through the night, and in my office so I can just sit in here and create in the nice cool, dry air!

Well, last week on vacation I did finish my SIL's birthday gift... a super-soft Malabrigo Marino that I just fell in love with from A Yarn Over Marblehead, along with the first set of handles - Clovers that I had picked up at Mind's Eye Yarns:

OK, so I was quite jealous of this bag - they yarn was just too soft, the colors too nice and I knew there were a few more skeins there... and, well, Jean had the shop open on one Sunday in the summer... just had to do it. So, here is my first Booga Bag http://www.blacksheepbags.com/booga_bag.html in process with the same yarn:

Finally, a pic of the wicked cool yarn I picked up at Central Yarn in Portland, Maine - I can't wait to play with it, however, unless I'm working in the A/C, it will not see the light of day this week!

Now, if I could only get past my fears and cast on that Twisty Tee... after all, the summer is running away from us!

I'm back from vacation too...

So, I was on vacation last week and ended up spending lots of time knitting, including the Friday Morning Knitting Group at A Yarn Over Marblehead on Friday (duh!) before I headed to Maine for the weekend, but I don't have pictures of stuff yet! I was able to get my cousin's 10yo daughter Amanda knitting - she even took it with her to camp on Monday - we'll see what happens up in Maine. Nothing like sitting on the banks of the Saco River and knitting up a Booga Bag http://www.blacksheepbags.com/booga_bag.html in a lovely Malibrigo and having an excited 10 yo new knitter working right along next to you!

I also finished 2 more felted bags for 2 of my SIL's - pics to be posted later. On my way to Biddeford, I passed the exit and went up to Portland and visited www.centralyarn.com... you'll see a pic of the awesome skein of Strawberry Patch Burley I got there soon!
